We're climbing for charity!
Christopher Rees, a loyal member of our team, is partaking in the Supersonic 10K and the National Three Peaks Challenge to raise money for Make-A-Wish Foundation UK.
The charity makes dreams come through for children and young people, who are fighting life-threating conditions to give them hope for their future. Make-A-Wish Foundation’s aim for 2018 is to transform the lives of 1,000 children this year by granting their One True Wish, and Chris’s efforts will help achieve their goal.
The Supersonic 10K run begins at 4pm on Saturday the 6th of October, and it’s a great opportunity to raise money for lots of different local and nationwide charities. The route is alongside the beautiful Bournemouth coastline, where participants can do their bit for charity while enjoying the ocean views. Anyone aged 15 or over can join the race, so if you want to raise money for charity in a fun and unique way consider joining the Supersonic 10K later this year.
Chris is also doing the National Three Peaks Challenge, which involves climbing the three highest peaks of Scotland, England and Wales all within 24 hours! The three mountains are Snowdon (Wales), Scafell Pike (England) and Ben Nevis (Scotland), which together total 23 miles with a total ascent of 2064 metres. These challenges require a lot of physical and mental strength for Chris and his friends so we hope his efforts won't be wasted and he reaches his target fundraising goal for charity!
